Accompanied by UK-based DJ and producer Leif with a new soundtrack for the occasion, Capital Reviewer looks forward to a night of Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests.

Shot by Warhol at the infamous Factory between1964-66 these ten short film portraits in black and white include the heady likes of Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, poet John Ashbery and filmmakers Jonas Mekas and Paul Morrissey from the New York downtown arts scene. Each film lasted three minutes producing some idiosyncratic responses as well as an insight into Warhol and an expose of his hangers-on and celebrity drop-outs.

Leif Knowles mixes house, techno and downtempo as well as running the vinyl label UntilMyHeartStops with Joe Ellis. Both Leif and Joe are core to Freerotation festival.
